Privacy & anonymity

HOP is built so strangers can pray for each other without being able to find each other.

What people see

A request carries your first name only — praying for “Sara” is easier than praying for “someone”, and it lets you recognise your own request later when an answer comes back. If you have not set a first name, one is read from your username. Your surname, photo, email, username handle and profile never travel with a request, and nothing links a request back to your account for other users.

What we remove

Before a prayer request or testimony is published, automated moderation strips emails, phone numbers, URLs, handles, addresses, and location phrasing that could place a person. Harmful, accusatory, or abusive language is removed or rejected.

How content is used

Approved anonymous text may be shown to other HOP users (web or ChatGPT MCP) so they can pray. We do not sell prayer content. Sample or demo seeds are labeled as samples.

Language pools

Each request stores an explicit language. English and Persian pools stay separate so communities are not mixed by accident. Your chat language can differ from the pool you publish into.

Report abuse

If you see content that should not be in HOP, email [email protected] with the request or testimony id when available. We review reports and may close or remove items.
